Springfield Park

The new Springfield Park is designed to meet the aspirations of the Alder Hey Trust to become a world-class open space for health and well-being that supports the concept of ‘Alder Hey in the Park.’ It will become an innovative, inclusive and safe landscape amenity for the hospital, visitors, staff and the local and wider community of East Liverpool.

The design creates a new permeable and connected park that has a range of activities and facilities. A hierarchy of routes and spaces are designed to encourage social interaction and recreational activity. The facilities and activities focus on four key themes that were developed through consultation and engagement with the local community, namely,
