City Beach, Southend

This £7 million pound public realm project represents a significant enhancement to the existing Southend seafront experience delivered as part of a wider vision for the regeneration of the town.

The scheme includes the remodelling of a kilometre of the promenade with new high quality surfacing, planting, sculptural lighting and playful water elements.

The new landscape also integrates new flood defences in response to climate change pressures.
