Tim Spain
Director
Tim has over 15 years’ experience working on a range of complex international and domestic projects. He began his career at Whitelaw Turkington before re-joining Mike and Ian at Turkington Martin in 2013 after a period at John McAslan Architects. He became a director in 2015.
He has exemplary project management skills which underpin the successful delivery of all our work – supporting our clients’ ambitions and providing structure and direction to our project teams.
He has led a number of large-scale estate regeneration and residential projects for various clients, including housing associations, developers and contractors. Key projects include Shadwell and Cleverly Estates for Peabody, Wimbledon Grounds, a neighbourhood of over 600 new homes for Galliard and the comprehensive renewal of the Douglas Bader Estate in Barnet, creating 750 new homes.
Tim is equally active in other sectors and is currently managing the refurbishment of a public park in Merstham, Surrey and our continuing involvement in the evolution of Foundation Park, a leading business park in Berkshire.
Engagement is at the heart of all our work and Tim has been particularly instrumental in improving our approach to consultation and co-design, exploring new techniques and working with our clients to promote best practice.
Tim is also responsible for our quality management processes and health and safety compliance.
Outside Turkington Martin, he is a practice tutor on the MLA course at the Bartlett.
